Stainless Steel

The stainless steel wire is iron lining with a minimum of 10.5% chromium. Its characteristics are obtained through the formation of an adherent and invisible film of chromium oxide. The alloy is a general purpose austenitic stainless steel with a face-centered cubic structure.

It is essentially non-magnetic in the annealed state and can only be cold hardened. Its low carbon content with respect to the alloy provides better resistance to corrosion in welded structures.
